Romans 8:1, 9

There is therefore   no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you.

To walk with God and Christ requires that the followers become more interested in the spiritual aspect of the calling than the physical.  This is because the God that we have chosen to worship dwells in the Spirit (John 4:23-24).

Moreover, truth can only be found in the spiritual realm.  This is to say that there is no deception in the realm of spirits.   Every being’s true form is revealed in the Spirit, even if the being is powerful enough to mask its presence, eventually the true form will be found out.

That is why truths of this life can only be found spirit.  The physical realm will give us facts.  Facts as can be ascertained do change with time and more information.  However, the realm of the spirit is not so, light is light, and darkness is darkness in this realm.  So if anyone truly desires to know the things that are real, it must be ascertained in the spirit.

This is why a case is made strongly for those who give their lives to Jesus Christ and are baptized by the Holy Spirit to allow themselves to be led by the Spirit of God into this great realm of truth as proof to their family heritage(Romans 8:14).

Furthermore, we are told that the natural mind cannot accept the things of God because it is enmity against God, because it cannot be subject to the law of God (Romans 8:7-8).  Therefore, anybody that serves God carnally can never please Him.

Beloved we are a people, bought and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ are called to dwell where God is, that is, in the Spirit.  I pray that our desire for the spiritual will be anchored and our experiences will lead us into discovery of truths about ourselves, our world and its inhabitants and resources.
